Introduction

Sharek is an official application provided by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry – State of Kuwait to facilitate the submission of complaints and reports by citizens and residents. The app is designed to make reporting commercial and industrial violations simple and accessible for everyone, thereby promoting transparency, integrity, and fairness in the market.

User Registration and Identity Verification

To start using the application, users must register and verify their identities. This is done by downloading the application on the mobile phone and entering the user's civil ID number. Identity verification is carried out through the "Hawiyati" app provided by the Public Authority for Civil Information. After successful verification, the user is allowed to access the application from the same device used for registration. The user bears full legal responsibility in case of identity impersonation.

After completing the registration process, the mobile phone owner is considered the owner of the registered civil ID, and they can access and use the services available on the application.

User Data

The Sharek app collects certain data in order to provide services to users. This data is linked to the Civil ID number and mobile phone details provided during registration, and may include:

• Civil ID number and related information.
• Optional identity information: Email address and mobile phone number.
• Information about the location of the complaint or report.
• Device information: serial numbers, manufacturer, model, type, operating system, version, telecom provider, IP address, and date/time of connection.
• Camera: used to capture photos and videos attached to submitted reports.
• Reports: all complaints and reports submitted by the user are stored by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.

Data Privacy and Confidentiality

The Ministry of Commerce and Industry is committed to maintaining the highest levels of confidentiality in protecting your personal data. Your information will not be shared with any third party without your explicit consent.

Advanced encryption technologies are used to ensure data confidentiality and prevent unauthorized access. Your data is used solely to deliver services within the app and to improve your user experience.

The privacy policy is updated periodically, and you will be informed of any changes that may affect the confidentiality of your data. You retain your rights regarding your personal data and are encouraged to report any unauthorized use or breach of confidentiality.

By using this application, you agree to the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. You may request access to your data or delete your account at any time.

Account Cancellation

You may cancel your registration at any time through the “Cancel Account” feature inside the application.
